Grant Guidelines

The Foundation does not accept unsolicited grant proposals.

The board requests proposals at its discretion.

If solicited by The Foundation, proposals must include:

  • one-paragraph abstract
  • executive summary (maximum one page)
  • case statement of societal need of proposed program
  • budget, including description of how funds will be used and over what period of time
  • measurable outcomes
  • evaluation methodology

Proposals that leverage existing resources and/or build community capacity are particularly attractive.

Grant recipients must be legally incorporated and recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The Foundations generally do not give to:

  • individuals
  • operating budgets
  • religious programs
