Teaching Economics Through Children's Literature

In this full-day workshop, attendees will learn how to use four different children’s books to teach literacy and economics alongside math, science, and social studies in grades 2-5. The lessons and will support teachers in targeting the newly revised Arizona standards in social studies.

Complimentary breakfast, lunch, and a copy of all four books for each participant will be provided courtesy of TRBF! The workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with check-in and breakfast starting at 8:00 a.m.

Participants will receive a certificate for 6.5 hours of professional development.

This full-day workshop was developed by the Georgia Council o Economic Education, and is brought to you by the Thomas R. Brown Foundation and hosted by the UA Office of Economic Education.

There is no fee for this program, but you must register.
